'That's a big boy'
I hear that comment a LOT lately! I'm as surprised as you are. I have a big child! It must be his daddy's genes cause I was a scrawny runt for most of my life. But yay!
We took him to get his shots today and he was a total champ. He cried for about 30 seconds and then he was totally over it. His stats are as follows:
Height- 22.7 inches which is 50 percentile
Head- 16 inches which is 50 percentile
Weight- 13 lbs 12 oz which is (as the doctor said) way above average! but still healthy and normal!
So well over 100 percentile (which math would tell me is impossible)
His optometrist dad has noticed that he can track an object very well and he makes eye contact for long periods of time (when he feels like it). He isn't the greatest with tummy time but I'm gonna blame his cylindrical shape for that. He's tryin! He can grab and hold objects and he brings them straight to his mouth. Babies have a strange way of investigating something...
He smiles (mostly at his momma when dad isn't around and there's no camera to prove it) but he makes you work for it, which means I'm makin some pretty strange noises for a good chunk of the day.
He sleeps when it is convenient for him which means 4-6 hours at a time some nights and then 1 hour at a time other nights (last night). I swear he is more accurate than most watches. I was really wondering if there was some kind of alarm going off that only baby ears can detect. They're like dogs, right?
He's absolutely adorable and makes my day, everyday. I love my little sidekick and can't wait to see how he changes in the coming months.
